Instructions

  1. 1Load an appropriate weight onto the pins and adjust the seat for your height. The handles should be near the bottom of the pectorals at the beginning of the motion. Your chest and head should be up and your shoulder blades retracted. This will be your starting position.
  2. 2Press the handles forward by extending through the elbow.
  3. 3After a brief pause at the top, return the weight just above the start position, keeping tension on the muscles by not returning the weight to the stops until the set is complete.

About Lever Decline Chest Press

The lever decline chest press targets the lower portion of the chest through a downward pressing angle, while keeping the safety and guidance of a lever machine. Seated, you adjust the seat so the handles sit near the bottom of the chest, then press by extending the elbows before controlling the return without ever fully releasing tension. This variation pairs well with flat or incline pressing by giving the lower pecs a distinct stimulus, while remaining accessible since the machine fixes the bar path. It suits beginners who want to safely train the lower chest as much as advanced lifters looking to vary their pressing angles.
