About Triceps Pushdown - V-Bar Attachment
The V-bar triceps pushdown is a variation of the high-pulley triceps extension that uses a narrow neutral grip, more comfortable on the wrists than a straight bar. Standing facing the pulley with your elbows pinned to your sides, you push the bar down until your arms are fully extended, then bring it back up under control without ever letting your elbows drift from your torso. The V shape allows a natural grip that makes it easier to get a strong triceps contraction at the bottom, making it a popular variation for finishing off a triceps session with solid rep volume.
